Join me for a one-day intensive workshop where we will explore and play with mixed-media painting and collage techniques. Beginners will follow basic steps to guide them through the process of making a piece. More experienced artists will use the guide as a jumping-off point to experiment and challenge themselves with different working methods.
Diptych (dip-tik) “An artwork consisting of two pieces, typically these two panels are related to each other.”
Participants will work on two 8 x 10 inch wood panels. These pieces can work together as a diptych or can be separated. The idea of making a diptych opens the door to many creative possibilities. The concept can be as simple as using similar shapes and colours on both panels to creating a visual story with images and words. These two panels will work together but can also exist as separate pieces.
Participants are encouraged to bring photos and 2D artifacts to include in their pieces to make them unique and personal. There will be a small number of participants to ensure an intimate setting and time for one on one instruction.
Please bring a lunch and water bottle. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
